Community guidelines
A few simple promises that keep this a friendly place for everyone.
Be kind, be useful
Everyone here started somewhere. When you comment, say what works and offer one thing to try next time. "Lovely!" is nice; "Lovely! A little lower and you'd catch the eye at its level" is a gift.
Share your own work
Only upload photos you took yourself. Credit always goes to the photographer, and every display copy carries your handle in the watermark.
Keep sensitive places safe
Never share exact spots for nests, roosts, dens or rare species. If you're unsure, tick Hide exact location when you upload; the photo will show the region only.
Respect each other's spots
Exact pins, parking and directions are for Wanderers only, so popular places don't get overrun. Please don't copy them to other sites.
No harassment, no hate
Offensive, threatening or harassing comments and messages are removed, and accounts that post them are suspended. Use Report on anything that crosses the line; reports go straight to Ophelia and stay private.
How moderation works
New photos, locations and journal posts are reviewed before they appear, usually within a day. If something is declined, you'll get a short note explaining why, so you can try again.
